Daniella Anna Marie Airoldi, 40, of High Ridge allegedly used a 15-year-old girl to deposit two forged checks from a checkbook she found on a High Ridge road. She also allegedly stole items from an apartment in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, according to court documents.
Airoldi has been charged with two counts of forgery and burglary, all class D felonies, and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, court records show.
Because Airoldi has been convicted of at least two prior felonies, the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged her with class C felonies, which are each punishable by three to 10 years in prison, instead of class D felonies. A class A misdemeanor carries a penalty of up to one year in jail in and a fine of up to $2,000.
As of Oct. 21, Airoldi was being held on a $20,100 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro. She was arrested on Oct. 12, jail records show.
In February, a man contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office after discovering two checks totaling $1,200 were deposited into a bank account without his consent. A $400 check was deposited on Aug. 9, 2024, and an $800 check was deposited on Aug. 19, 2024, the case’s probable-cause statement said.
Investigators learned a 15-year-old girl deposited the forged checks for Airoldi, who texted the teenager to ask the girl if the checks had gone through and to send money to her after the checks cleared, the report said.
Airoldi told investigators she found a checkbook along with mail that belonged to the man on Little Brennan Road in High Ridge, and she kept the checkbook, according to the report.
According to a probable-cause statement filed by the Sheriff’s Office, Airoldi on July 1 was seen using a crowbar and ax to force open a door at an apartment in the 200 block of Mount Everest Drive in the Fenton area. She had texted the man who lives at the apartment before going to the home to tell him she was going to get some belongings.
However, she also stole items that did not belong to her, the report said.
Court records show, in September 2017, Airoldi was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance in St. Louis County, and in May 2014, she also was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance in Jefferson County.
