Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two men and two women after the four were allegedly seen stealing from a home in the 1400 block of Trails End Drive south of De Soto. A 55-year-old Crystal City man, 39-year-old Bonne Terre man, 51-year-old Bonne Terre woman and 41-year-old De Soto woman were arrested, authorities reported.
Deputies were called on Oct. 10 when the four allegedly entered the home through the back door and started removing items. Deputies found the two men in the basement’s home, and the women were found at a nearby home on the same street, the report said.
All four were taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, where they were booked and released pending the application for charges, according to the report.
The Sheriff’s Office will seek a charge against the two men and two women through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for burglary, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
