Arthur J. “Buz” Kaido, 77, of Hillsboro died March 14, 2022, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Mr. Kaido enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was known for his friendliness and being the life of the party. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6401 in Hillsboro. Born June 14, 1944, in Breese, Ill., he was the son of the late John and Marcelle Kaido.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Mary Frederick Kaido; a son: John F. Kaido; two grandsons: Roger and Chase Kaido; a sister: Michele Kaido Schwent; a brother-in-law: Dr. John Schwent; five siblings-in-law: Hal and Sandy Frederick, Dr. Keith and Marilyn Frederick and Susan Frederick; two godsons: Alex Schwent and Dr. Ben Frederick; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Douglas Kaido; and a brother-in-law: Dennis Frederick.
Celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am. Monday, March 28, at Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site, 9001 Old Lemay Ferry Road, in the Hillsboro area, officiated by the Rev. Jim Shultz. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
