The Missouri Department of Conservation’s Maple Sugar Festival at Rockwoods Reservation in Wildwood will be held Saturday (Feb. 3).
The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The festival is an opportunity for families to learn skills to collect, boil and create their own maple syrup or sugar. The event includes demonstrations on both historic and modern methods of collecting maple syrup. Free samples of all-natural maple syrup and sugar will be offered.
Rockwoods Reservation is at 2751 Glencoe Road, off Hwy. 109 between I-44 and Hwy. 100. Visitors should note that parking for persons with disabilities only will be available on-site. All other parking will be off-site at Pond Elementary, 17200 Manchester Road, and the St. Louis Community College Wildwood Campus, 2645 Generations Drive. Shuttle buses to the event will be provided.
