Spaces are still available for vendors to participate in the Arnold Senior Expo, set for Wednesday, Oct. 5.
The event, sponsored by Grand Times, Leader Publications’ magazine for seniors, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 Missouri State Road.
Businesses and individuals who have a product or service of interest to those 50 and older are encouraged to call the Leader to reserve a booth.
Prospective vendors should call the Leader office at 636-931-7560 or email news@leaderpublications.biz.
In addition to vendors, the expo will include free coffee and doughnuts, as well as free bingo, guest speakers, live music and other entertainment.
Way Back When
The Leader is holding its Way Back When photo contest in conjunction with the Arnold Senior Expo. Entrants are asked to submit a photograph of a person, place, event or activity from long ago. Photos must be at least 25 years old.
Cash prizes are ready and waiting for the winners of the contest, which is open to readers 50 and older. Names will be drawn at random to win the first prize of $100, second prize of $75 and third prize $50.
The deadline to submit a photo for the contest is 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16.
As many photo entries as space allows will be published in the Sept. 29 Grand Times section of the Leader.
That issue also will include information about the Arnold Senior Expo, including a schedule of events.
Entries should include the following information:
■ Photographer’s name, age, address and phone number.
■ The date and place the photo was taken and by whom.
■ The names of any people in the photo.
■ Any other information about the photo that explains why it is memorable.
