Readers are urged to submit photos for a coffee-table book to be published and a special section to run in the Leader to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Arnold’s incorporation as a city.
Leader Publications and the city of Arnold have joined forces to commemorate the anniversary and are asking for photos from 1972 to the present that will help tell the story of Arnold.
The deadline to submit photos is 5 p.m. Friday, May 6.
Readers who send in photos are asked to describe what is depicted in them and give the names of people in the photos and what year they were taken. If a photo features a building, please name it and tell us if it still exists and if not, when it was torn down, if known.
All submissions must include your name and town of residence and your phone number.
There are several options for submitting: Email to news@leaderpublications.biz; bring to the Leader office at 503 N. Second St. in Festus; or mail to the newspaper at P.O. Box 159, Festus, 63028.
