• Columbia detectives intercepted 56 pounds of methamphetamine shipped from Mexico in drug bust Sunday at home in Boone County just outside the city. Hector Hernandez Medina, 28 who is from Mexico and in the country unlawfully, and 49-year-old Ebonie Lewis, 49, of Columbia, face drug trafficking charges. Medina also faces a gun charge.

• A Columbia police officer suffered minor injuries Monday night following a two-vehicle collision on Range Line Street. The crash occurred around 10:21 p.m. near Kennesaw Ridge Road, temporarily closing northbound lanes. The officer was hospitalized for treatment, while the other driver involved declined medical transport at the scene. Police did not name the officer.

• Mizzou football defensive end Damon Wilson II countersued the University of Georgia on Tuesday over Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) disputes. Wilson alleges the school breached confidentiality and interfered with his transfer. This follows a Georgia lawsuit claiming Wilson violated a term sheet before moving to Missouri last month.
