shattered window

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating damage to a van parked outside a home in the 4000 block of West Valley Drive in Imperial. All of the windows, both rear-view mirrors and a rear driver-side taillight were broken on the 2003 Dodge Caravan, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim told investigators the damage occurred between about 5 p.m. June 21 and 7:30 a.m. June 22, after he parked the van near the end of his driveway to keep people from sitting on his property. The victim said he didn’t know who would have damaged the van, the report said.

It looked like someone used a blunt object to cause the damage, which was estimated at $2,555, according to the report.

As of June 23, no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
