Arnold Police are trying to identify two women who reportedly cashed a stolen check at UMB Bank, 827 Arnold Commons Drive. The women allegedly forged the check and cashed it using the bank’s drive-thru service, police reported.

An employee reported the alleged forgery on Jan. 5, but the incident occurred on July 23 when two women in the same vehicle cashed a $2,800 check. Bank employees later reported that the check’s signature had been forged and funds were drawn from a closed account, and investigators said the check was stolen, the report said.

It is not known how the women gained possession of the check, Arnold Police reported

As of Jan. 10, the women had not been identified and the case was still under investigation, Det. Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
