Authorities are trying to identify two women who allegedly broke into a display case at the Walgreens pharmacy, 3937 Vogel Road, in Arnold and stole $1,903.73 worth of perfume. Similar thefts have been reported in the St. Louis area, but investigators do not know if the same women were involved in all the incidents, Arnold Police Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
The Arnold theft happened at about 7:25 p.m. Dec. 12 when two women reportedly were seen in surveillance video getting into a locked display case and stealing 15 brands of perfume. It is not known how the women got into the case, which was not damaged, the report said.
The women were wearing facemasks, and they left in an unknown white vehicle, Arnold Police reported.
As of Dec. 21, the perfume had not been recovered, and the women had not been identified, Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
