Crystal Dee Turner, 31, of Imperial recently was sentenced to 10 years in prison following drug charges and probation violations, according to court documents.
In August 2008, Turner sold LSD, a controlled substance, to a detective in Jefferson County. In September 2008, she sold psilocin, another controlled substance, to the same detective, and in January 2009, she sold the detective amphetamine, the report said.
Turner, formerly of Fenton, pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced in 2009 to 10 years but the sentence was suspended and she received five years’ probation.
After that, though, she violated her probation and in November 2010 she was sentenced to 10 years but was released on probation in December 2010 after completing a treatment program.
She again violated her probation and was sentenced March 25 by Jefferson County Div. 2 Circuit Judge Gary P. Kramer to 10 years, according to the report.
Also that day she received a four-year prison term for a drug charge stemming from a July 2009 incident, when she was found with methamphetamine in Jefferson County. But that term is to be served concurrently, or at the same time, with the 10-year sentence.
Turner may be released early if she successfully completes a 24-month treatment program, the report said.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Trisha C. Stefanski handled the case.
Turner currently is in the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia.
