Trevor Michael Harding, 36, of Arnold was allegedly found with a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine following a traffic stop by a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy, according to court documents.
Harding has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony punishable by up to seven years in prison. He was arrested on Oct. 12, and as of Oct. 21, he was being held on a $15,550 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court and jail records show.
According to the case’s probable-cause statement, a deputy on Sept. 25, 2024, stopped Harding on southbound Hwy. 141 near Old Missouri State Road just outside of Arnold. Harding was stopped because the vehicle he was driving had expired license plates.
The deputy found two bags containing a crystal-like substance, two smoking devices with residue and a container with a yellow waxy substance in the vehicle, the report said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tested the substances, and on March 13, the lab identified the crystal-like substance as meth and the waxy substance as THC, according to the report.
