The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of tools worth about $3,100 from a building at 2285 Hwy. 67 southwest of Festus. The building, which used to be home to One Stop Boat and Motor, is being renovated, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Between Dec. 31 and Jan. 4, a door on the side of the building was forced open and multiple power tools were stolen, the report said.
As of Jan. 14, none of the tools had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
