Investigators search a Mazda SUV that was driven this morning to Festus City Hall and Police Station on Tuesday morning by a woman who allegedly told officers she killed two of her children.

Arnold Police are investigating the theft of tools and power equipment from Quality Pavement Group, 2503 Arnold Tenbrook Road. The items were valued at $3,635, authorities reported.

The theft occurred between 4:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 11 a.m. Dec. 14. There was no sign of forced entry into the business, but its video surveillance system was damaged and the power was turned off in the building, the report said.

As of Dec. 22, none of the tools or equipment had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said. He asked anyone with information about the burglary to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
