Eureka Police patch

Eureka Police are investigating the theft of a three-wheel motorcycle, a motor, tools and other items from a home in the 18000 block of Fox Creek Lane. In all, the stolen items were valued at more than $2,700, police reported.

A 72-year-old man and 58-year-old woman who live at the home reported the theft at 6:37 a.m. Oct. 15. They said they had been away from the home since Oct. 7 and when they returned, they found a rear basement window broken and the items missing, the report said.

Eureka Police also saw what appeared to be tire tracks from the motorcycle that led from the home to Fox Creek Lane. In addition to the 1997 three-wheel Honda motorcycle, which was valued at $1,500, stolen items included a MotorGuide trolling motor for a boat, two DeWalt drill sets and two Cobalt drills. The boat motor was valued at $500, the drills sets were worth $500 and the drills were worth $249, for a total of $1,249, according to the report.

As of Oct. 26, none of the items had been recovered, and Eureka Police were still investigating the theft, and Capt. David Wilson said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
