A 21-year-old St. Louis woman allegedly kicked an Arnold Police officer in the stomach following a disturbance outside Firestone Complete Auto Care, 3720 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. The officer was not seriously injured, police reported.

Arnold Police were called to the auto repair business at 3:05 a.m. April 10, and when the officer arrived, the 21-year-old woman and another woman were standing outside a 2021 Toyota RAV4, the report said.

The 21-year-old appeared intoxicated, and the officer was told she had taken Xanax and had been drinking alcohol. When the officer tried to talk to the 21-year-old woman, she allegedly walked away and told him to leave her alone, according to the report.

The officer stopped her, and when he tried to get her into his patrol vehicle, she allegedly kicked him. The woman eventually was taken into custody and was transported by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County for evaluation, police reported.

Arnold Police will seek a charge against the woman through the Arnold Municipal Court for fourth-degree assault against a law enforcement officer, Cpt. Brett Ackermann said.
