A 38-year-old St. Louis man was arrested for allegedly kicking one Arnold Police officer in the face and attempting to head-butt another officer after being pulled over for nearly striking a police vehicle on Telegraph Road. The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. May 15, Arnold Police reported.
The man was driving a 2017 Ford Focus when he nearly hit the police SUV. The officer pulled over the Focus on Telegraph Road near Wicks Road and arrested the driver, the report said.
When the man was handcuffed and placed in the back seat of the police vehicle, he allegedly leaned back and kicked the officer in the face. The officer, who was not seriously injured, transported the suspect to the Police Station, according to the report.
While a different officer was escorting the suspect to a cell, he allegedly attempted to head-butt that officer, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Arnold Municipal Court for careless and imprudent driving, two counts of assault and resisting arrest, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
