Six spools of barbed wire recently were stolen from outside a home in the 1300 block of Berry Dairy Road in the De Soto area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Between 9 a.m. Feb. 3 and noon Feb. 4, someone stole the barbed wire, which was being stored in the home’s carport. The barbed wire was valued at $600, the report said.
A neighbor reported seeing a Jeep in the driveway on Feb. 3.
As of Feb. 13, the wire had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
