The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says a 42-year-old Arnold woman is suspected of sending a threatening message to a Fox C-6 School District Board of Education member last month, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
As of Tuesday (Feb. 22), the suspect has not been arrested, and the Sheriff’s Office had not determined if it would seek charges against the suspect through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Bissell said.
He said the investigation is ongoing.
Neither Bissell nor Fox school officials would say which of the seven Fox school board members received the threat.
Bissell said the school board member did not indicate when the message was sent, although the board member told investigators the threat was sent via an online messaging service.
Bissell said the board member reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 24.
The threatening message prompted the board to hold its Feb. 1 meeting virtually instead of at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold.
The board held its Feb. 15 meeting at the service center, and the district’s next scheduled board meeting is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the service center.
