Two men and a woman recently were arrested for allegedly burglarizing an apartment in the 400 block of Thoreau Trail in High Ridge. The burglary occurred about 2 p.m. Oct. 3, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
After the Sheriff’s Office got a call about a burglary in progress, deputies arrived on the scene and saw three people exiting the house through a window. Deputies chased them and took two into custody at that time – a 23-year-old House Springs man and a 22-year-old High Ridge woman, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said.
The third suspect got away, but later, after the Sheriff’s office got a call about a vehicle being stolen from the 1600 block of Gravois Road in High Ridge, they found the man and the stolen vehicle in St. Louis County and arrested him. He is 22 and lives in High Ridge, Higginbotham said.
The Sheriff’s Office will seek burglary and resisting arrest charges against all three. In addition, tampering charges will be sought against the High Ridge man.
