Tools and construction materials that belong to a company that was repairing roofs at Eureka High School, 4525 Hwy. 109, went missing. The items were valued at $885, Eureka Police reported.
The items went missing between July 24 and Aug. 18, but the incident was not reported to police until Sept. 1, according to Eureka Police.
An employee at CNJ Mechanical Contractors in St. Louis said the materials may have been stolen from the work site at the high school. The employee also told police the materials may have been mistakenly thrown away or taken by another contractor working at the school, the report said.
The missing tools included battery charges, batteries, hammers, drills and pipe wrenches. As of Sept. 10, none of the items had been recovered, Capt. David Wilson said.
Anyone with information about the incident should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
