St. Louis County Police have released a list of locations where a Barnhart woman allegedly took photos of unsuspecting girls in bathrooms so she could share them with a Florissant man. The alleged incidents occurred between Feb. 27 and March 12, and the locations include two churches, two Walmart stores and three malls, all in St. Louis County.
Heather McDorman, 29, of Barnhart and Zachary Hamby, 28, of Florissant were arrested March 12 after McDorman allegedly was caught taking pictures of an 11-year-old girl in the bathroom at the South County Center mall, police reported.
Hamby allegedly directed McDorman to take photographs of female children in bathroom stalls and then share them with him, according to the probable-cause statement in the case.
On March 13, the two were each charged with a felony in connection with the scheme, as well as with other felonies for suspicion of sexually abusing a 4-year-old boy, police reported.
St. Louis County Police are looking for others who may have been victimized by the pair at one of the following places.
■ Walmart, 3270 Telegraph Road, in south St. Louis County, from 7-8:30 p.m. March 5.
■ New Life St. Louis Church, 11570 Mark Twain Lane, in Bridgeton, from 8-9:30 p.m. March 7.
■ Walmart, 11900 St. Charles Rock Road, in Bridgeton, from 9-10 p.m. March 7.
■ Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 901 Barracksview Road, in the Mehlville area, from 7-8 p.m. March 8.
■ Mid Rivers Mall in St. Peters, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 7 and again from 1-2:30 p.m. March 12.
■ South County Center mall, from 12:30-3 p.m. Feb. 27; from 3-4 p.m. Feb. 28; from 5:30-6:30 p.m. March 5; from 6-7 p.m. March 8; and from 3-4 p.m. March 12.
■ West County Center mall in Des Peres from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Feb. 28.
Police ask anyone who was at one of those locations with a female child who could have used the restrooms on one of those dates and times to call 314-615-8618.
Detectives believe there could still be even more places and victims targeted in the St. Louis region. So, police ask anyone who thinks they may have been victimized to call the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Special Investigations at 314-615-5400.
McDorman was charged with one count of invasion of privacy, a class E felony, and three counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy, each one an unclassified felony.
Hamby was charged with one count of invasion of privacy, a class E felony, and two counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy, each one an unclassified felony, according to court records.
Invasion of privacy is punishable by a maximum of four years in prison, and the statutory sodomy charges each carry a penalty of 10 years to life in prison.
