Arnold Police believe two cases of illegal dumping reported over a two-day period late last month may be related. The first incident occurred July 27 at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., and the second happened July 28 at a vacant lot in the 2300 block of Virginia Court, police reported.
At least two people were seen on surveillance footage the morning of July 27 removing trash from a U-Haul truck and leaving the material next to a dumpster near the service center. The Fox C-6 School District estimated it would cost $200 to have the trash removed, the report said.
On July 28, police were called to the lot on Virginia Court, which is owned by Fox Partners LLC, when bricks and rocks were found dumped at the site. Neighbors told officers they saw a 60-year-old Arnold man leaving the debris on the lot. Arnold Police did not have an estimate for the cost to remove the debris from the lot, Capt. Rich Shular said.
He said police suspect the two incidents could be connected.
“It is two illegal dumpings in the same time frame,” Shular said.
He said Arnold Police have identified the 60-year-old man and are seeking charges against him through the Arnold Municipal Court for illegal dumping. However, as of Aug. 6, no charges had been filed.
