Festus Police are investigating the recent theft of a pickup from outside a home on South Fourth Street, Chief Tim Lewis said.
The victim, a 44-year-old Festus man, reported the theft of his 2005 Ford F-250 pickup a little after 7 p.m. on Oct. 27, Lewis said.
“(The victim) last saw the pickup about 6 p.m.,” Lewis added. “At 7 p.m., he noticed it missing and reported it.”
Lewis said investigating officers found surveillance footage from the neighborhood showing someone driving away with the vehicle.
“Ring cameras from (other homes) on Fourth Street showed the vehicle traveling west on Fourth Street about 6:15 p.m.,” he said.
Lewis said it is not known how the thief got into and started the vehicle.
As of Nov. 8, he said, the vehicle had not been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is urged to call the Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
