Pevely Police officers are investigating the report of gunshots at the Pevely Pointe Apartment complex on Sunday (Dec. 3). At 6 p.m., officers were called to the lower level of the complex after a resident reported the shots fired, a report said.
“The reporting party stated he observed a male subject behind the building (who fired) several shots,” according to the report.
“A canvass of the area revealed several spent shell casings from a semiautomatic handgun,” the report said.
The suspect was described as a black man between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 195 to 230 pounds. The man was wearing a light gray or white hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants or jeans, according to the report.
