Arnold Police are searching for a woman who fled in a gold Honda CRV while officers arrested a 45-year-old Pevely man, who had been driving the SUV. The man, who was pulled over on a traffic stop, was wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and St. Louis Police on felony warrants, police reported.
At about 7:55 p.m. Nov. 7, officers saw the SUV pull into the Phillips 66 gas station, 3910 Jeffco Blvd., and saw the license plates on the CRV were registered to a Chevrolet Blazer. When an officer approached the SUV, the man allegedly jumped out and ran, the report said.
However, the officers caught him after a short chase and arrested him without further incident, according to the report.
As the officers chased the man, a woman moved from a passenger’s seat to the driver’s seat of the SUV and drove away, the report said.
The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and held for the other arresting agencies. He also was issued summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for driving with a revoked license and resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
As of Nov. 13, police had not identified the woman who drove away in the SUV, and they have not located the CRV, Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the SUV to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
