Eureka Police arrested a St. Louis man and woman, both 30, after they allegedly assaulted a woman in the line for the Mr. Freeze ride at the Six Flags amusement park, 4900 Six Flags Road, Capt. Michael Werges said.
Officers were called at about 5:45 p.m. Aug. 11 to the park. The alleged victim, a 25-year-old St. Peters woman, told officers she was waiting in line with a 27-year-old St. Peters man when a group of nine people cut in front of them, the report said.
The St. Peters woman said she addressed the issues with a man in the party. One of the women in the party allegedly told her that she could not tell them what to do, and that woman shoved her into a wall, according to the report.
A man then allegedly pushed the St. Peters woman. The woman then allegedly started punching and pulling the St. Peters woman’s hair, the report said.
The St. Peters man with the St. Peters woman attempted to separate the women, but a man from the other party then allegedly punched the St. Peters residents. They then left the line to seek medical attention, according to the report.
The St. Peters woman had apparent injuries to her eyes, shoulder and back. No injuries were reported for the St. Peters man.
The suspects were located by Six Flags employees in the security office. The woman allegedly told the police she was walking her niece to meet up with other people in the line when the St. Peters woman pushed her, the report said.
The man said he wasn’t going to ride the Mr. Freeze ride, according to the report.
Surveillance video allegedly showed the suspects attack the St. Peters woman, the report said.
The man and woman were arrested and taken to the Police Station, where they were booked and released pending the application of warrants, according to the report.
Eureka Police will seek a charge against the man and woman through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for third-degree assault, Capt. Michael Werges said.
