Kathleen F. Burg, 49, of Pacific was seriously injured in a one-car accident at about 2:20 a.m. today (Aug. 18) in Pevely, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Burg was driving a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire west on Sandy Creek Road east of Bryan Lane, and the car went off the left side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
Burg was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where she was listed in serious condition this afternoon, a hospital spokesman said.
Burg was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
The Sunfire was extensively damaged, and McCains Towing towed the car from the scene, the patrol reported.
