An SUV recently was stolen from outside a home in the 2300 block of Virginia Court. The black 2017 Nissan Rogue had been left unlocked with the keys inside it, Arnold Police reported.
The victim, a 34-year-old Arnold woman, said she parked the SUV outside the home at about 9 p.m. July 29, and she reported it stolen at about 8 a.m. July 30. The Rogue was valued at about $20,000, the report said.
Surveillance video from the neighborhood showed a white Kia Optima following behind the Rogue after it was stolen early on July 30. Using Flock license plate-reading cameras, investigators spotted the Rogue and Optima traveling along Jeffco Boulevard at about 4:45 a.m. that day.
The Optima in the video had been reported stolen by the St. Louis Police, according to the report.
As of Aug. 7, neither vehicle had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
