Tara Nicole Meeks, 29, of Arnold has been charged for allegedly attacking a woman at an Arnold home, court records show.
The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on April 9 charged Meeks with second-degree domestic assault, a class D felony, and third-degree domestic assault, a class E felony, according to court documents.
Meeks was arrested on Wednesday, April 23. She was being held as of Thursday, April 24, on a $15,000 cash-only or surety bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records said.
Arnold Police at about 12:30 a.m. March 23 were called to a home after Meeks allegedly assault a woman. Meeks allegedly grabbed the other woman by the hair, punched and bit the other woman, the case’s probable-cause statement said.
The alleged victim was bleeding, bruised and had at least two bite marks, the report said.
A class D felony is punishable by up to seven years in prison, and a class E felony carries a penalty of up to four years in prison.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Tiffany Baker is prosecuting the case.
