Arnold Police are trying to identify a man and woman who allegedly robbed the CVS drug store, 2120 Lone Star Drive. The incident happened at 4:12 p.m. Dec. 11, when the man allegedly stole cash register drawers and a woman who was with him allegedly stole three bottles of liquor, police reported.

An employee was working behind the counter when the man walked back there and allegedly took drawers out of two registers. The employee backed away from the man, and the report did not indicate if the man said anything to the clerk during the incident, Capt. Rich Shular said.

One of the drawers was empty, but the other one had $581 in it, including a stack of 25 $1 bills that had a tracking device. The device was located at the QuikTrip gas station at 4450 Meramec Bottom Road in south St. Louis County, just north of Arnold, the report said.

While the man reportedly stole the money, the woman allegedly grabbed a bottle of Jose Cuervo tequila, a bottle of Tito’s tequila and a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whisky and left the store with the man. The liquor was valued at $120, according to the report.

The pair then left in a vehicle, which could not be seen on surveillance footage, police reported.

The man was described as black and wearing a gray jacket with black shoulder pads, a white surgical mask, black pants and white tennis shoes, and the woman was black and wearing a pink baseball hat, black jacket, gray sweatpants and brown shoes. The woman also was wearing a mask, the report said.

As of Dec. 17, the police had not identified the two, but authorities believe they had been involved in similar robberies in the St. Louis area, Shular said.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
