UPDATE: A 19-year-old High Ridge man was seriously injured when he allegedly was shot by a 19-year-old House Springs man on Nov. 8 near the Byrnesville Skatepark, 4824 Byrnesville Road, in House Springs, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The skatepark is inside the Northwest Jefferson County Sports Complex.

Spokesman Grant Bissell said the incident was still under investigation today, Nov. 12. He also said the alleged shooter was arrested and was released pending the application for warrants.

The man who was shot was transported to an area hospital.

As of Nov. 8, the man was in stable condition, Bissell said, but he did not have an update on the man’s condition today.

The man who allegedly shot the other man remained in the park and was interviewed by investigators. The two men knew each other, and only the High Ridge man was injured, Bissell said.

Deputies were called at about 11:20 a.m. because of the shooting. Bissell said it was unclear what led to the alleged shooting.
