An 18-year-old House Springs man died in a crash this morning, Sept. 22, on Gravois Road near Byrnes Mill, officials said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer identifies victims of vehicle crashes. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office did not immediately identify the driver.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol report said the House Springs man was driving a southbound 2005 Ford F150 at 1:48 a.m. at 3901 Gravois Road near Bush Road when he failed to negotiate a turn to the left. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, sideswiped several trees and crossed two driveways, becoming airborne. The vehicle then struck the ground and overturned several times, ejecting the driver who struck the windshield of a parked 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The Ford pickup continued, striking a picket fence and a 1997 Chevrolet 400.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel and was taken by Edwards Mortuary Service to the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
