Lucas J. Jacobs, 37, who lives in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton, has been accused of felony drug possession. A Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy allegedly found pills that tested positive as illegal narcotics after he arrested Jacobs following a disturbance at a Fenton-area home, according to court documents.
The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on June 24 charged Jacobs with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony punishable by up to seven years in prison, court records show.
Jacobs was arrested on June 30, and as of July 2, he was being held on a $5,000 surety bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court documents said.
According to the case’s probable-cause statement, deputies were called on March 3 to the 200 block of Mount Everest Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton because of a disturbance at a home. The deputy arrested Jacobs because he was wanted by the St. Louis County Police on a warrant for aggravated driving while intoxicated.
The deputy allegedly found Jacobs had a bag with three pills in it. Jacobs allegedly said the pills were Xanax, and that he did not have a prescription and he buys them “off the street,” the report said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tested the pills and confirmed the substance to be Xanax, according to the report.
