Graylon Lindsey, 24, of St. Louis has been sentenced to life in prison for killing a Eureka High School sophomore and a St. Louis woman in separate incidents. He pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder, which had been reduced from first-degree murder in a deal with prosecutors, the Circuit Attorney’s Office of St. Louis reported.

Lindsey admitted to killing Eureka High student Kyierah Jeffries, who was 16, and Arriell Dixon, who was 25, in St. Louis in May 2022. He was sentenced to two life sentences, which will run concurrently, or at the same time, and he will be eligible for parole after 30 years, according to court documents.

“Every violent offender we remove from the streets makes our city safer for everyone,” Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore said in statement announcing the sentencing. “But this tragic end to the lives of a teenaged girl and a young woman is a heavy burden for their families to bear.”

In the guilty plea, Lindsey said he shot Dixon on May 5, 2022, in the 4200 block of Obear Avenue. He also said he shot Jeffries on May 14, 2022, in the 5900 block of Minnesota Avenue.

Dixon called 911 after being shot and provided a description of Lindsey and the car he was driving. Police connected Lindsey to the car Dixon described, according to the Circuit Attorney’s Office.

Along with reducing the murder charges, the Circuit Attorney’s Office dropped two counts of armed criminal action as part of the plea agreement.

Assistant circuit attorneys Mary Pat Carl and Rachel Morgan prosecuted the case.
