woman in handcuffs

A 21-year-old Imperial woman allegedly admitted stealing merchandise at the Walmart Supercenter, 2201 Michigan Ave., while she was an employee there. Walmart management reported the alleged theft at about 7:25 p.m. April 26, and said the thefts happened between January and April, Arnold Police reported.

The woman allegedly didn’t ring up items she got at the store, staling about $1,419 in items. The woman allegedly told police she rang up the items improperly because “she was going through hard times and was trying to provide for her children,” the report said..

Arnold Police will seek a charge against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for stealing, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
