A 25-year-old High Ridge man is a suspect in connection with the theft of a pickup and trailer from outside a home in the 4400 block of Meadow Drive in High Ridge. The items were stolen between 2 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. May 31 and recovered the same day in Fenton, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim told investigators the 2011 Dodge Ram 3000 pickup and 1992 U-Haul International tandem trailer were parked in the driveway when they were stolen. The victim said her husband left the keys in the unlocked pickup. The items were valued at $35,000, the report said.
Later that day, a deputy found the pickup and trailer in the 100 block of Cherry Hill Drive in Fenton. There was no apparent damage, and the items were returned to the owners, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.
He said June 10 that no arrests had been made.
