Authorities are looking for a 24-year-old Hematite man who allegedly stabbed a 27-year-old De Soto man early Sunday morning, Dec. 29, at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Cedar Valley Drive in De Soto, said Capt. Jeffery Wynn of the De Soto Police Department.
He said De Soto Police officers got a call about the incident at 5:25 a.m. after the two men argued over money, and the dispute turned into a physical altercation. The Hematite man reportedly stabbing the other man in the arm and leg.
Wynn said the stabbing victim was taken to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County where he was treated and released.
Wynn said this morning, Dec. 30, that police were still looking for the suspect who is known to law enforcement officers. The name of the suspect will not be released unless formal charges are filed.
A couple of people witnessed the incident and at least part of the incident was captured on video, Wynn said.
