A Harley-Davidson motorcycle valued at about $5,000 recently was stolen from outside a home in the 200 block of Mount Everest in the Fenton area. The theft happened between 9 p.m. Aug. 1 and 6:30 a.m. Aug 2, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Later that day, though, at about 12:43 p.m., the bike, a blue 2009 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster with black saddle bags, was found abandoned about one mile away in a ditch in the 100 block of Middleview Drive in the Fenton area, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said.
As of Wednesday (Aug. 24), there were no suspects or arrests, Higginbotham said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
