Eureka Police patch

A 38-year-old Florissant man has been identified as a person of interest in connection with a theft at Dickey Bub Farm and Home, 100 Hilltop Village Center Drive, in Eureka. He allegedly stole $791.24 worth of items and drove away in a tan Chevrolet Silverado, Eureka Police reported.

The theft happened at about 3:35 p.m. March 3. The man allegedly loaded a cart with Dr. Pepper, a tool box, clothes and boxes of ammunition and walked out of the store without paying for the items, the report said.

The man was allegedly seen loading the items into the Silverado, which had license plates on it registered to a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche. The pickup also reportedly was connected to a theft reported in Arnold, according to the report.

A Dickey Bub employee told the officer $76.47 worth of items were left behind in the cart the man allegedly pushed out of the store, Eureka Police reported.

As of March 13, none of the stolen merchandise had been recovered, and the person of interest had not been located, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
