A 30-year-old Festus woman was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine after she was spotted in Arnold driving a car with expired license plates. The incident happened about 5:05 p.m. March 29, Arnold Police reported.
An officer pulled over a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass on Jeffco Boulevard near the Meramec River bridge after seeing the car with expired license plates. The officer allegedly spotted a metal smoking pipe in the car’s center console, the report said.
When the woman was searched, officers allegedly found her with a clear, crystal-like substance in a cellophane wrapper. She was arrested and transported to the Police Station, where she was booked and later released pending application for warrants, the report said.
Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
