Festus Police are investigating a car break-in that occurred overnight Sunday to Monday (Sept. 25-26), Chief Tim Lewis reports.
The 24-year-old victim said she parked her 2007 Ford Focus at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Dublin Lane at 7 p.m. Sept. 25.
“She returned to it at 8 a.m. (Sept. 26) and found the passenger door open,” Lewis said. “She found her purse with credit cards in it missing. She said she locked the car, but there were no damages to it.”
Lewis said Tuesday (Sept. 27) that the incident was still under investigation.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
