Corey Trelane Morgan, 39, of Festus has been charged with sexually assaulting two young girls, court records show.
The alleged abuse occurred in 2019 and 2020, the probable-cause statement in the case said.
Festus Police were notified of the alleged abuse on Sept. 2, and a warrant was issued for Morgan’s arrest on Oct. 28. He was released on a $50,000 cash bond on Nov. 9, according to court records.
Morgan allegedly exposed himself and inappropriately touched the girls. One of the girls was younger than 10, and the other girl was younger than 12, the probable-cause statement said.
Morgan has been charged with statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy with a victim younger than 12, an unclassified felony punishable by five years to life in prison, and two counts of sexual misconduct involving a child younger than 15, each one a class E felony that carries a penalty up to four years in prison, court documents show.
