Eureka Police are asking for help to identify a man who allegedly stole items from a display home in the Steeple Hill Estate subdivision. The theft happened Nov. 3 in the 300 block of Kevin Jon Court off Augustine Road, Eureka Police reported.

The man reportedly could be seen on surveillance footage entering the home twice through a small garage bay door. He is described as a white male with a stocky build and facial hair, and he was wearing a black stocking cap, a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes,  the report said.

The man allegedly was first seen on the footage entering the home at 1:57 p.m. It is suspected he moved a flat-screen TV, Apple TV box, Keurig coffee maker, wooden table, bench and lamp into the garage at that time, according to the report.

He then was allegedly seen backing a 2005 model or older dark-colored Ford Explorer into the home’s driveway. The SUV had gray trim and also had wheels and tire rims that appeared to be from a 2013 or newer Ford Explorer sports model, the report said.

The man allegedly re-entered the garage at 9:06 p.m., put the items into the Explorer and left at 9:17 p.m. The stolen items have a combined value of $2,150, according to the report.

As of Nov. 9, none of the stolen items had been recovered and there had been no arrests, Capt. David Wilson said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
