Police are looking for this man suspected of robbing a Commerce Bank in Eureka.

Eureka Police are asking those near the Commerce Bank, 203 E. Fifth St., in Eureka this morning, Nov. 23, for help in a robbery investigation.

At 11:25 a.m., officers were called at to the bank after a man allegedly demanded money from a teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen fleeing north from the bank, authorities reported.

No one was injured during the robbery, according to a written statement Eureka Police issued at 3:17 p.m. today.

The suspect was wearing a white surgical-type mask, white sock cap, drab olive-colored sweater and blue jeans. He is described as middle aged and approximately 5-feet-10-inches tall, police reported.

The department is asking anyone near the bank between 11 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. who may have information about the robbery to call the detective bureau 636-938-6601.

Eureka Police officers, with help from neighboring law enforcement agencies, are actively investigating the case. Surveillance footage from the bank and nearby businesses is being reviewed.

“The safety and security of our community is our top priority. We appreciate your cooperation and vigilance as we bring the responsible party to justice,” Eureka Police said in the statement.
