De Soto Police arrested a 24-year-old De Soto man on a church parking lot April 25 for suspicion of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Officers on patrol were doing an extra check on the church, in the 4000 black of Fountain Road, at about 10:30 a.m. when they saw a man and a woman sitting in a vehicle on the parking lot.
De Soto Police Chief Rick Draper said officers made contact with the couple and allegedly found them with drug paraphernalia and a substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
“The man, who claimed the contraband, was arrested,” Draper reported. “The female was released at the scene.”
Depending on results from the drug analysis, De Soto Police will seek charges against the man, Draper reported.
