Arnold Police are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from two trucks – one at STL Beds on Jeffco Boulevard and one next door at Dobb’s Tire and Auto. The damage to STL Bed’s 1999 Chevrolet box truck was estimated at $1,500, and the damage to the customer’s 2009 Ford F-150 left at Dobb’s was estimated at $320, police reported.
The thefts happened between 6 p.m. May 14 and 10 a.m. May 16 at the bed store, 1360 Jeffco Blvd., and Dobb’s, 1354 Jeffco. Surveillance footage from Dobb’s showed a man and woman walking around the auto repair shop and looking under trucks there and then walking around the bed store, Arnold Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.
As of May 27, the suspects had not been identified, and no arrests had been made, he said. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
