Eureka Police are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter from a 2007 Ford E-350 owned by the Rockwood School District. The cost to repair the van was estimated at about $2,000, police reported.
The catalytic converter was cut off the van between Oct. 24 and Nov. 3, when it was parked outside the Rockwood Administrative Annex, 500 N. Central Ave.
As of Nov. 4, the converter had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
