A Jefferson County man and his brother were arrested after they allegedly started a fight with a Six Flags employee dressed as a character for the park’s Fright Fest and shoved a security officer to the ground. The altercation occurred about 9:20 p.m. Sept. 29, Eureka Police reported.

A 20-year-old St. Louis man, who works as one of the park’s characters, told police a 20-year-old Jefferson County man kept touching him, despite being told not to do so. When the confrontation became heated, the Jefferson County man and a 21-year-old Robertsville man, who was later identified as the other suspect’s brother, allegedly started to attack the employee, according to the report.

The employee allegedly said he fought back, the report said.

The Robertsville man told police his brother had scared the employee, and as the two brothers walked away, the employee pushed the Jefferson County man from behind. The Robertsville man said he pushed the employee back and then the fight started, the report said.

A witness, who recorded a portion of the encounter on a cell phone, said the employee was scaring guests and the Jefferson County man shoved the employee. Then, after the Jefferson County man was told not to touch the employee, the Jefferson County man started cussing at the employee, according to the report.

As the brothers walked away, the employee took off his mask and started yelling at them, and after a brief shoving match, a fight allegedly broke out between the three, the report said.

During the fight, a 22-year-old Jefferson County woman, who is a security officer at the park, tried to intervene, but the Jefferson County man allegedly shoved her to the ground, the report said.

The brothers were arrested and then issued summonses to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for third-degree assault, Capt. David Wilson said.
