Arnold Police are seeking a 35-year-old De Soto woman and a 35-year-old Troy man in connection with the theft of a pickup left unlocked and running outside the Mobil on the Run station on the West Outer Road. The theft happened about 8:15 a.m. March 20, and the pickup was recovered later the same day in De Soto, Lt. Tom Leassner said.
The suspects reportedly left a Ford Mustang that had been reported stolen out of St. Louis County at the Mobil on the Run before stealing the pickup while the victim was inside the convenience store. The pickup had a GPS device that allowed police to track it to De Soto, but the suspects were not inside it, Leassner said.
He said some tools were inside the pickup when it was stolen, and they had not been recovered. Altogether, the pickup and tools were valued at $8,000.
Leassner said the De Soto woman and Troy man were identified as suspects and listed as wanted. As of March 30, they had not been taken into custody, Leassner said.
